Walter Trout is Alive ! Ook deze keer weer steekt hij zijn dankbaarheid voor het overleven van zijn leverfalen niet onder stoelen of banken. Zijn album Battle Scars staat dan ook centraal tijdens dit optreden. En dat is lang niet verkeerd! Uiteraard wordt Say Goodbye to the Blues niet vergeten, het nummer dat hij de laatste paar optredens opdraagt aan BB King. Hoewel hij nog niet helemaal de oude is, ongetwijfeld door medicijn gebruik, is veel van zijn energie weer terug. Nog fitter dan hij in Carré al was (Walter Trout ALIVE in Amsterdam, gewoon aanschaffen). Als daarnaast ook de band, nog ondersteunt door zoon Jon dan nog eens goed draait, dan kan er maar één conclusie worden getrokken, het was wederom een fantastisch optreden!
Walter Trout is Alive ! Also this time he shows his thankfulness for surviving his liver failure. For that reason “Battle scars” plays a central role during this gig. En there is nothing wrong with that! Of course Say Goodbye to the Blues is not forgotten and contributed to BB King. Although you still see him struggling, most likely because of use of medications, his energy level seems better compared to his gig in Amsterdam’s Carré. (Walter Trout ALIVE in Amsterdam, you just have to buy that one!) Also his band, supported by his son Jon, was performing very well. So we can only draw one conclusion, this was again A GREAT GIG !
